In commemoration of the 50th year since establishment, the Kake Educational Institution held its first Japanese Speech Contest in 2011 with regional contest taking place around the world and the grand final held at the Kake main campus in Okayama City. This international exchange event is a symbol of the philosophy of the founder Tsutomu Kake, who dedicated his life towards international understanding through education and research. We believe this wonderful opportunity not only gives the chance for international students to compete in the Japanese language, but allows them to understand Japanese culture, and in turn gives our students a chance to open their eyes towards the rest of the world by listening to the speeches and understanding 'the Japan' felt by the younger generation in other countries around the world.
