Statue of our Founder, Tsutomu Kake
Erected on November 9, 2011, this statue was artistically sculpted by the dedicated hands of Jiro Hiruta, professor emeritus at Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts. The statue sits at the center of our newly built rotary.
Opening Ceremony was held on November 19, 2011.

Kake Educational Institution 50th Anniversary Commemorative building Opening Ceremony
Prior to opening the 50th Anniversary building a ribbon cutting ceremony was held.
A bust of Honorary Chairman Dr. Tsutomu Kake which was donated by Mr. Rai So of the Chinese Exchange Student Association, is located on the fourth floor.

Kake Educational Institution 50th Anniversary Ceremony
On November 19th at the Kake Memorial Gymnasium a 50th anniversary ceremony attended by 1150 individuals from government, business and academics was held.
Prior to the Ceremony, Mainichi Newspaper dropped a Congratulatory Message from a helicopter which was presented to Chairman Kotaro Kake.
Professor Teruo Hamaie (Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts) emceed the ceremony.
The ceremony began with a flag procession carried by students followed by remarks from Chairman Kake, Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, congratulatory words from representatives of government, business and academic. Staff and faculty who have spent their careers dedicated to the Kake Educational Institution also presented congratulatory messages.
Representatives of Current students committed themselves to creating a better future.
The celebratory mood permeated the event.

A parallel ceremony was held at the Chiba Institution of Science and both venues were connected by live video via the internet.

the First Kake Educational Institution Japanese Speech Contest
Speech contests in Nepal, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Myanmar as well as Shanghai, beijing, and Chengdu China selected one contestant each out of a total of 800 to compete in the finals of the First Kake Educational Institution Japanese Speech Contest that was held on November 20th at Ridai Hall, in which an audience of 200 watched the 9 finalists speak on "The Japan I Know".

On March 11th one year after The Great East Japan Earthquake Associate Professor Fujimoto gave a lecture titled "Thinking About Earthquakes and Tsunamis a Year After the Great East Japan Earthquake" following which Nobel Laureate Dr. Akira Suzuki also gave a lecture that concluded with a moment of silence at 14:46, the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The Student Fire brigade also demonstrated firefighting techniques with fire hoses.
